ULTRASOUNDS AND ESTRADIOL BLOOD TESTS - to monitor the growth of the eggs and adjust medication dose since different individuals respond differently to the medications.

HCG INJECTION - given when several follicles (eggs) reach about 20 mm size by ultrasound measurement to trigger the final maturation of the eggs prior to their removal 36 hours later.

EGG RETRIEVAL- a 15 minute office procedure performed in our comfortable Certified Operating Room 36 hours after the HCG shot. You will be given intravenous sedation provided by Board Certified Anesthesiologists and you can expect to leave the office about 30 minutes after the procedure.

FERTILIZATION AND EMBRYO CULTURE - the eggs are inseminated with sperm in emlorgo outline diches and are checked the next day for fertilization. The embryo development is monitored for the next three to five days.

EMBRYO TRANSFER - the embryos are transferred into the uterine cavity utilizing a soft catheter which is placed gently through the cervix to a predetermined depth.

PREGNANCY TEST - performed two weeks after the egg retrieval. If positive you will continue with progesterone injections for the first few weeks of pregnancy.
